Crow and Gazelle might be a new name to you, but if you’re familiar with the folk, Americana and Red Dirt music scenes in Oklahoma and Texas, its members are likely not. The duo is Mike McClure, (The Great Divide) singer, songwriter, artist and producer who’s been making music in the region for nearly three decades, and partner Chrislyn Lawrence, who besides music, is also a creative director, producer, videographer, community organizer, poet, and yoga teacher. Mike and Chrislyn met nearly two decades ago, lifetimes in some ways, and then reconnected in 2018 when they were both in the midst of personal reckonings and changes. They didn’t fall in love, they rose up to meet each other there.
